Mitzi and I bring complementary strengths to Destination RNR, blending my Lean efficiency from high-stakes nursing and Navy-honed reliability with her sharp accounting skills and organizational talents from corporate project management. We've shared over 32 wonderful years of marriage since meeting around Hurricane Andrew, raising three daughters and a son while creating a warm life together from the Florida Keys to North Carolina.
Our service-hearted approach gently led us into real estate, where we combine my streamlined operations and Mitzi’s financial savvy to foster transparent, relationship-centered investments. Destination RNR’s promising start—a successful fix-and-flip in Augusta, Georgia, plus stakes in a luxury wellness hotel and a multi-million-dollar short-term rental portfolio—highlights our steady teamwork. Along the way, we’ve grown passionate about co-living strategies, setting the stage for thoughtful, scalable growth through diverse real estate ventures.
Our latest flip
We wrapped up our first flip in Augusta, GA, and it turned out to be a great experience. The house needed some love, but we brought it back to life and created a solid win for everyone involved. We also picked up a few lessons along the way—mainly around managing contractors, building in buffer time, and staying ahead of material delays. Nothing dramatic, just the kind of real‑world stuff that makes you sharper on the next one. Overall, the project confirmed what we already believe: when you buy right, communicate clearly, and stay disciplined, the results take care of themselves. We’re excited to take everything we learned into the next deal with partners who appreciate a straightforward, reliable approach.
